U2 - Until The End Of The World (4)

"Until the End of the World" (Live, by U2)

PLAY THIS SONG WITH A CAPO ON THE 3RD FRET, TUNE DOWN THE GUITAR 1/2 STEP

Use delay, set to about 400 ms, and use some chorus, a compressor, and some
overdrive.

***NOTE: All chords are with respect to the CAPO on the 3RD FRET.

OPENING
For the opening, we hear that little distorted guitar over the loud speaker,
and the Edge rips in with his heavily muted riff. My suggestion for playing
it is muting the power E chord while letting the low E on your guitar ring,
and then sliding up to get Edge's riff:
   *strum while muting*
e------------------------------------------------
b-(9)-x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x---------------------
g-(9)-x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--------------------- repeat this until
d-(9)-x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--------------------- the main riff
a-(7)-x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--2/-12--------------
e--0--0--0--0--0--0--0--0--0---------------------
*NOTE: the '2/-12-' part is a slide from the 2nd fret to the 12th

END SOLO (This I do have, it's not too hard).
For the ending solo, you need to keep the low, open E going (or sustained)
while playing the solo. It makes for a fuller sound. The solo is simply a
variation of the power Em chord. Here it is:
               Em Em Em
e-------------------------------------------------------
b----------------8----------------8----------------8---- continue to

d----------------------------------7--7--7--7--7--7--7--7--7--7--7...

e--------------------------------------------------------------------

When Bono sings "La la la la...." and so on... play the following power chords:

e---------------------------------------------------------
b-9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9...-14-14-14-14-14-14-...7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-
g-9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9...-14-14-14-14-14-14-...7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-
d-9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9...-14-14-14-14-14-14-...7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-

e-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0...--------------------------------------

Repeat the above riff sereral times, then return to the MAIN RIFF, repeat it
a few times, and end the song:
